Help Wanted![]() The internet is expanding and changing all the time and it offers us a unique opportunity to provide access to the bible for people all around the world. However there are no proven models for doing this and so we have to try different things and see how we go. This website is part of this. The next phase of the website’s development is an online bible study that will enable anyone who is interested to study the bible and discuss it. There will be six studies based on Luke’s gospel. The studies will be run as a closed forum moderated by David Horne (administrator for christianity.net.au). Each study will last a week. Since this is a new development, we are looking for volunteers to participate in the first group and provide feedback and criticism so that the studies can be refined and finalised. Interested in helping us create a new way of bringing the bible to life in people’s lives? Read on! Knowing God – Interpretation, Consistency and Contradiction Everybody has a conception of God even if it is the negative conception that he does not exist. But how can we be sure that we have got it right? If, as many assume, God is infinite and out there, how can we know for sure who he is and what he expects of us? This months feature looks at how we can know God, what he is like and how to deal with the interetation, consistency and “contradictions” of the bible. Friends, Family and Relationships At the heart of being human is relationship. We seek it, we cherish it, we are fulfilled by it. And it is no wonder since God created us to be relational beings, people who relate to each other and to him. Sex is at the heart of creation, but something has gone wrong and only God can fix it. If through the death of Christ I have been freed from sin to live for God, then why do I find living the Christian life so hard? Where is God in Suffering and Pain?
